John Duncan is the Managing Director and founder of the Avenyou Finance group of companies.

 

He has overseen approximately 100 loan transactions within Avenyou Finance since inception, with capital returned to investors across those transactions.

 

John has over 25 years’ experience in banking and finance. He has held senior roles managing corporate and commercial debt within a major Australian bank, and previously worked within the Financial Advisory Services division of a Big Four accounting firm, including involvement in the management of distressed businesses.

 

Prior to this, John was involved in the management and ownership of a large-scale farming operation in South Australia, including livestock, broadacre cropping and viticulture.

Kristian Sims is a Director at Avenyou Finance with experience across commercial, SME and property finance.

He has worked across a range of lending transactions, including development finance, land subdivisions, income-producing assets and cashflow-based facilities. His role includes transaction structuring, assessment of security position and consideration of borrower capacity and exit strategy.

Prior to joining Avenyou Finance, Kristian held roles within the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Westpac group, and has also worked in-house with developers and builders.

This experience provides exposure to both lender and borrower perspectives, with a focus on credit assessment, risk management and transaction structuring.

At Avenyou Finance, Kristian is involved in originating, structuring and managing transactions, and works with brokers, borrowers and investors throughout the lending process.
